Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! I hope you all have a wonderful day with your family, friends, and that you eat lots and lots of pumpkin pie! This year has been a tough one for everyone but there are certainly so many things to be thankful for and we should always try to remember them to keep our hearts strong and positive. Better things will come, you'll see!
Today I am participating in The Thanks U Give event hosted by Chasing Fairytales & Stay Bookish that is all about celebrating thanksgiving around the bookish community. I wasn't sure what I would write about for this post at first, but then I decided... why not talk about all the great things that I am thankful for my Bookish 2016? So off we go!
I am thankful for you, my dear friends & readers:
Thank you so much for stopping by my blog whenever I post and for all your kind words. Your comments make me so happy and I wish I could give you all a hug, stuff you with cake and maybe some of your favorite cookies too (courtesy of my sister of course since I am not that great at baking like her). Special thanks go to Jordan, Lis, Brittany, Jazmen, and Alex. My blog and I love you a lot! ♥
I am thankful for my friends on Twitter:
My days are not complete if I don't get to connect with amazing peeps like my best buddy reader, Jessica, or Sarah K from The Book Traveler, Helena & Becky from Book Nerd Addict, Theresa J. Snyder, S. Usher Evans, Eileen from BookCatPin, Jasmine from Jasmine Pearl Reads, Erika from The Nocturnal Fey, Sabrina from Library Luv Books, and many more! You seriously rock my world with your awesomeness and I hope we get to meet one day soon!
I am thankful for my friends & followers on Instagram:
My sister & I cannot say thank you enough for all of your support whenever we post a new photo. You guys have helped us grow so much in this wonderful community and we love how much your creativity inspires us. Everyone is so unique and we are happy to interact with every one of you every day. ♥
I am thankful for the best co-writer and partner in crime I could have ever hoped for:
I have been friends with Becky from Book Nerd Addict for some time (think that for 3+ years now?) but I think this year, 2016, is the year when we really became best friends. Your support and cheer is so amazing, I could not have asked for a better friend to write our first book together. You totally deserve all the cookies!
I am thankful for the opportunity to review and work for Kate Tilton and YA Books Central:
First to Kate Tilton (www.katetilton.com) for teaching me all the ropes and guiding me throughout my book blogging journey since the beginning, I will never get tired of saying that you ROCK. And to C.J. Redwine & YA Books Central, for believing that I was worthy of becoming part of the Staff Reviewing team.
I am thankful for my best author friend, Danielle L. Jensen:
Thank you for keeping my days magical and for writing my favorite series. Heck, for making so many of my bookish dreams come true. I truly am your biggest fan and I cannot wait to read more books from you in the future!
And I am thankful for all the amazing books I read in 2016 & for almost 3 years of blogging:
2016 has been a great reading year for me. I have discovered so many amazing authors and I cannot wait to discover more next year. It is even more amazing to think that on January 6th, this blog will be turning 3 years old! I have no idea where the time went and I am so happy that I decided to click that publish button that day. I feel that I have grown so much after all these years and I am excited about what the future awaits us both. Hopefully many more happy book blogging years! ♥
What are some of the things that you are thankful for this bookish year? :)
