Book Summary:
College freshman Liv is more than just a fangirl: The Starveil movies are her life… So, when her favorite character, Captain Matt Spartan, is killed off at the end of the last movie, Liv Just. Can’t. Deal.

Tired of sitting in her room sobbing, Liv decides to launch an online campaign to bring her beloved hero back to life. With the help of her best friend, Xander, actor and steampunk cosplayer extraordinaire, she creates #SpartanSurvived, a campaign to ignite the fandom. But as her online life succeeds beyond her wildest dreams, Liv is forced to balance that with the pressures of school, her mother’s disapproval, and her (mostly nonexistent and entirely traumatic) romantic life. A trip to DragonCon with Xander might be exactly what she needs to figure out what she really wants.

 TOP 6 FAVORITE QUOTES

She was determined to keep her promise of 'no fandom' to her mother. Trouble was, fandom was more than a hobby, it was a support system. Without it, Liv had no one to talk to when she was lonely. She had nothing to look forward to after school, and no outlet for creativity.
I think we can all relate to this when people out of the bookish community simply don't get our love for books or book blogging. :(
Nothing happened for several seconds and then ... A faint twinge, like a single spark, ran up her arm to settle in her chest. Liv grabbed the cookie nearest her and broke it open. It's up to you to make your happy ending.
I liked how Liv had a thing for fortune cookies. I also love them, though I've yet to feel the tingly feel. ;)
But, as in any war, that meant the intel behind the revolution had to stay secret for as long as possible. Fandom had to believe.  Liv released her breath, heart beating in her temple. It's up to you to make your happy ending.  She hit post.
It's the feeling I get every time I post a special post about a favorite book (but on a smaller scale).

The well-known trill of the Starveil theme flooded her ears, and she let out a sobbing laugh, overwhelmed by emotion. This was it. This was where she felt at home.
This.  (but with books for me!) ♥
"If you keep waiting for the perfect moment," Liv read, "you'll never see it arrive."Xander chuckled. "Don't think you're in any danger of that."She looked up. "What do you mean?"He plucked the piece of paper from her fingers and tucked it into his lapel pocket. "You already live in the moment, dearest. I'm the one who needs the reminder."

This is a sweet interaction between Liv and Xander, finally hinting up that something between them was going on.
"But it's still lines in a real film, and if I mess it up--" "They'll have you do it again. And again ... and again." Liv laughed. "No big deal. Life is full of second chances."
I think this is my favorite quote of all. Life is full of second chances. And if we fail once, we can try again and again until we get it right!
