Series Enders I Have Neglected To Read

Guuuys. I'm a terrible reader. I just realized (or remembered more like) that I've neglected to read the last books in a few of my favorite series.

I am mainly talking about books that have been out for a while now, but somehow lost their priority on my TBR list thanks to the never-ending awesome book releases. (Want want want!)

There's of course no excuse to my unforgivable actions as a reader and I really feel bad that I haven't supported these books like I should have since back in the day they brought me such joy. Such wonderment. Because how can I call myself a true fan if I haven't even gone all the way through??!

But I'm going to change that. And I'm starting off by calling myself out and showing you the books that I haven't had the chance to read but I really really want and SHOULD read. Books that are part of duologies, trilogies or long series. Books that their first books are magical and so very exciting. Books that are a bit oldies, but I like to call modernish-classic YA. You might call them backlist books too.

The Forever Song by Julie Kagawa
(The Immortal Rules #3)

I seriously have no idea why I haven't read the last book in The Immortal Rules trilogy by the amazing Julie Kagawa. The first two books are pretty kick-ass and despite the darkish vibe, it has humor. And mean cliffhangers. Eeep. Someone hand me the book NOW.

Perfect Lies by Kiersten White
(Mind Games #2)

I read Mind Games a few years ago and I remember I fell so in love with the two main characters. This is a duology and it's about two sisters, the eldest who is blind but has visions and the youngest one who is as sharp as a knife and willing to do anything to protect her older sister. Definitely recommend the first book and I must get myself a copy of Perfect Lies to see how their stories end.

Split Second by Kasie West
(Pivot Point #2)

Oh, Kasie West ♥ Pivot Point was the first Kasie West book I read and man, does she know how to write! She's better known for her standalones YA contemporary romances but Pivot Point was her first book and it's an awesome paranormal/fantasy read (the first of two books!). And Trevor, omg ♥. I need more Trevor, one more reason why I need to read Split Second

Finale by Becca Fitzpatrick
(Hush Hush #4)

Honestly, I just need more Patch in my life. This dark and sexy fallen angel who can't feel your kisses but man does he know how to kiss! Or so I've heard. ;)

With All My Soul by Rachel K. Vincent
(Soul Screamers Series #7)

This is one of my favorite series ever and they are so incredibly good. They are actually one of the first books I discovered when I first joined the bookish community. And Tod is one amazing bad boy and reaper. Gosh, I feel like re-reading the entire series!

The Warrior by Victoria Scott
(The Collector #3)

And speaking about bad boys, there's no one like Dante! A total jerk and all but ♥♥♥♥. But focusing more on the series, the books are HILARIOUS. Had me cracking up all the time. Makes me wonder AGAIN why I haven't read the last book.

Mortal Heart by Robin LaFevers
(His Fair Assassin #3)

Grave Mercy and Dark Triumph not only gave me the most badass heroines, but also two amazing book boyfriends. Beast omg ♥♥♥ I'm pretty sure Mortal Heart will not disappoint. Well, I hope so. MUST READ SOON.

So there you have it. All the series that I have neglected to end. Are you like me and you keep putting off reading the last books in some of your favorite series? Or is it just me? Help me lift my shame, LOL.

  1. I love this post! I haven't read many enders because I'm scared I won't love them anymore. Like Finale, I found it bad :(
The Forever Song is amazing though.
I hope your taste in books haven't changed much because I think that's the biggest problem with waiting too long.

    1. Oh no! I've tried to stay way from Finale spoilers but yeah, I've heard more bad than good things.
I think my taste has remained the same. At least, I haven't noticed much change. Hmm... You've got me thinking. ;)

  2. ohh, trust me, you're not alone when it comes to finishing series. I'm in the same boat. it took sth like 2 years to finally pick up Boundless and Unearthly is one of my all-time-favorite series.
I still haven't read Unlesahed, when Uninvited is one of my all-time-favorite books.
haven't read Forever (by M. Stiefvater) and now, it's not even the last book in the series because author decided to write the fourth book. I don't have to tell you that that book is not a new release anymore.
I ADORE I Heart series by Lindsey Kelk, am in love with all of the characters in those books, but I still have to read I Heart London AND I Heart Christmas.
The saddest part: I own all books I mentioned, so I really, really have no excuse... but somehow, I always find one...

    1. Shame on you!!!! Hahaha jk. I feel relieved now *grins*. And omg I forgot about Forever. Haven't read that one either. We should get a move on!

  3. Omg Melissa!! It is my duty as your friend to yell at you for not reading Split Second! READ SPLIT SECOND! One word: CONNOR.

Oh and I love the His Fair Assassin books! Read Mortal Hearttttttt! <3

  4. I also have to finish the Hush, Hush series. I really enjoyed the books that I've read from the series though!
    Krystianna @ Downright Dystopian

    1. They are awesome. Patch is so hawwt *wink wink*

  5. Yes, I have done the same! I haven't read the last book in either the Delirium series or the Lux series because then they will be over! You are not alone!!

    1. I've only read the first book in the Lux series :( I should make a post about series I have started and loved but haven't continued LOL

  6. I really enjoyed the Soul Screamers series, the romance gets so good! The Mind Games series was pretty good so you should jump back into that. And don't feel bad you're not alone. I am known to start and never finish tons of series I swear I'm going to read! Lux series being the main one.

    1. Soul Screamers' romance IS pretty awesome. First Nash, then Tod Tod TOD. ❤❤❤❤
Hope we can redeem ourselves and read those books!

  7. Would you believe I haven't read a single one of these series? What am I doing with my life, right? I tend to finish series as much as I can because I love the feeling of accomplishment. lol
