Happy 5 de Mayo everyone! This date is important to us Mexicans because we commemorate the great Battle of Puebla. This happens during our revolution against the French intervention back in 1862. We don't do much on this day, but in the US people tend to celebrate it by eating lots of Mexican food like Tacos, Chips and Salsa, Guacamole, etc etc. Can't blame them, our food is good. (FYI: Sinaloa has the best of all regions).
In other somewhat important news...
I watched Nick and Nora's Infinite Playlist saturday night and I really liked it. Imagine my surprise when I found out that people think it sucked and say the book is so much better. Well, I haven't read the book yet but if what they say is true, then it must be one spectacular read! Have you read it?
******Oh, and in more blog related things, I think The Chef has something small in store for us. Yum!
Books I Bought, Won or Received:
I finally received the most awaited books of all times in the mail!
Maybe Someday and Finding Cinderella by Colleen Hoover are both signed by the author and the first one also by Peter Griffin (he co-wrote and performs the songs in Maybe Someday). I won them from Colleen Hoover's Book-A-Day Giveaway. I'm crazy lucky sometimes.
And just when I was about to buy my own copy of Stolen Songbird by Danielle L. Jensen, I was notified that I won a copy from Kristin of My Bookish Ways. Yaaay, thanks Kristin! It's beautiful <3.
To Read This Week:
I'm still reading The Breath of Aoles by Alan Spade, and listening to I, Walter by Mike Hatner. I'm confident that I'll finish both soon, and if I have time, I'll probably re-read Stolen Songbird by Danielle L. Jensen. I just can't get over it!
And that's it for this edition of The Week's Entrée. What book(s) are you planning to read this week? :)
